The Dealertrack Audience Builder is one of our latest add-on features that enables you to build and create audiences from over 29 million Canadian automotive sales transactions with Dealertrack data. Analyze and filter through Automotive Sales data for both New and Used vehicles from 2018 onwards.

The Numeris Audience Builder is an add-on feature that enables you to build audiences from hundreds of questions collected in the Numeris RTS study. It is a licensed 3rd Party audience builder developed in partnership with Numeris (Canada’s source for radio & TV audience data).

IntelligentVIEW’s Audience Builder tools and automated profiling enable you to find and map lookalikes, profile new audiences, and identify opportunities to scale your marketing programs. We have three audience builders with CiG’s audience builder, Numeris, and Dealertrack.

CiG’s Audience Builder allows you to connect your anonymized customer data to tens of thousands of weighted research attributes from multiple data sources within intelligentVIEW. This is available to all users.

CiG’s methodology begins with our unique approach that pools our data sources into an ecosystem where sources are used to cross-validate and contribute to each other’s robustness.

We treat our data as a part of an ecosystem, rather than independent tables or data products, which means that statistical relationships are exploited, bases (populations, etc.) are consistent, and each data source is a valuable contributor to the maintenance of the many.

A benchmark is the point of reference to compare the data from your file. This allows you to see the differences and similarities between your File a Benchmark. Think of a benchmark as representing the universe of opportunity you want to evaluate against your target audience.

For example, if your benchmark is Ontario, the characteristics of your File are compared to the demographics from Ontario.

Benchmarks show the degrees of similarities and differences between two Files. This information can be used to get a deeper understanding of a File and help determine the strategy for targeting these customers.

Before uploading a postal code file, clean it in Excel using the Find and Select feature to remove non-alphanumeric characters like spaces, – or /.  Keep in mind there is no letter O in postal codes. You may wish to consider replacing the letter O with a zero before uploading your Files. While intelligentVIEW will automatically remove some of these characters, loading a clean file will ensure the most accurate analysis.

Postal codes are not case sensitive. It also doesn’t matter if the postal code has a space in it or not. If your file for upload has a mix of postal codes with or without space, the intelligentVIEW uploader will still read the postal codes.

Yes, leave duplicate postal codes in the File to weight the data appropriately. intelligentVIEW will provide a count of total and unique postal codes in the File. Files that only contain unique postal codes will be analyzed as markets. Markets are different than Customer Files in that they are based on aggregations of all households in every postal code in your file.

An index is a measure that quantifies the degree of difference of a target’s attributes compared to a Benchmark.

If the percentage of the target attribute is exactly the same as the benchmark it is represented by 100 – all things are equal.

Any number above 100 represents how much the target attribute is above average (proportionally more in your file relative to the benchmark you chose). We say something is over-indexed.

Any number below 100 represents how much the target attribute is below the benchmark. We say something is under-indexed.

Another way to interpret and index is the number of times a characteristic appears in your file relative to the benchmark. For example, your File indexes 200 for kids aged 4 and under compared to BC. This means that households with kids 4 and under are 2 times more likely to be in your file than in the market.
