Product Release – September 2026

Estimated reading: 6 minutes 33 views

The intelligentVIEW September 2026 product release introduces a new Batch File Uploader designed to make recurring audience, market, catchment, and campaign data uploads faster, easier, and more secure.

This release also introduces updated platform navigation organized around the primary intelligentVIEW workflow: building audiences, exploring and refining opportunities, activating audiences, and managing your workspace.

Together, these updates make it easier to work with large volumes of audience data and move through intelligentVIEW from initial audience creation through analysis and activation.

New Batch File Uploader

The September 2026 release introduces the new Batch File Uploader, available from the Build menu.

The Batch File Uploader provides a streamlined way to upload multiple audience and market files into intelligentVIEW at the same time.

Instead of uploading individual files one at a time, users can select an existing project or create a new project, then drag and drop multiple files or select a folder containing the files they want to process.

This is particularly useful for teams managing:

  • Multiple locations or markets
  • Recurring media or data delivery schedules
  • Large campaigns with multiple audience files
  • Market and catchment files
  • Historical campaign audiences
  • Benchmark audiences from previous campaigns
  • Large collections of files that need to be organized within intelligentVIEW

IV Batch Uploader

Browser-based file review and privacy checks

Before files are uploaded to intelligentVIEW, the Batch File Uploader performs a browser-based review of the selected files.

Files are pre-processed locally within your browser to confirm that they meet intelligentVIEW file requirements and contain valid Canadian Postal Code or FSA data.

This review takes place before the files are transmitted to CiG.

The process is designed to help prevent files containing unsupported data or personally identifiable information (PII) from being uploaded to intelligentVIEW. For example, if a file exported from a CRM contains additional customer information rather than only the supported geographic identifiers, the file will not proceed through the upload process.

Files that successfully complete the browser-based review are marked as Ready for Upload in the File Review window.

This provides an additional safeguard when teams are working with source data originating from CRM systems, campaign platforms, internal databases, or other environments that may contain information that should not be uploaded to intelligentVIEW.

Review and organize files before uploading

Once files have passed the initial review, the File Review window provides an opportunity to confirm and organize the files before they are uploaded.

From this screen, users can:

  • Review all files that have passed validation
  • Change the intelligentVIEW file name
  • Identify each file as an Audience File or Market File
  • Confirm or change the destination project
  • Assign individual files to different project folders where required
  • Remove files that should not be included in the upload

This makes it possible to prepare a large collection of files in a single workflow while still controlling how each individual file will be organized within intelligentVIEW.

Upload multiple files in a single queue

Once the File Review is complete, the approved files can be submitted for upload as a batch.

intelligentVIEW will process the files through the upload queue without requiring each file to be submitted individually.

The upload queue will continue processing while the intelligentVIEW browser window remains open. When uploading a large number of files, users should leave the browser window open until the upload queue has completed.

This significantly reduces the repetitive work associated with loading large collections of audience, market, location, catchment, or historical campaign files.

For organizations that regularly receive new data on weekly, monthly, quarterly, campaign, or other recurring schedules, the Batch File Uploader provides a more efficient way to incorporate those files into the intelligentVIEW workspace.

Supporting recurring audience and market workflows

The Batch File Uploader is designed for more than simply uploading a large number of files at once. It also makes it easier to establish repeatable data workflows within intelligentVIEW.

For example, teams can use the Batch File Uploader to load:

  • Audience files for multiple retail or service locations
  • Market or catchment files associated with individual locations
  • Audiences from different campaigns or campaign periods
  • Historical campaign audiences for use as benchmarks
  • Geographic audience files received through recurring data deliveries
  • Multiple versions of an audience for subsequent comparison and analysis

Once uploaded, these files can be used throughout intelligentVIEW for audience profiling, reporting, comparison, refinement, planning, and activation.

Updated intelligentVIEW navigation

The September 2026 release also introduces a simplified main navigation structure.

The navigation on the left side of intelligentVIEW is now organized around four primary areas:

Build

Build contains the tools used to create, define, and upload audiences and markets.

This is where users begin when creating new audience assets, including uploading existing geographic audiences or using intelligentVIEW audience-building tools.

The new Batch File Uploader is available within this section.

Explore & Refine

Explore & Refine contains the tools used to understand, analyze, compare, and refine audiences.

This includes workflows such as intelligentVIEW reports, the Insight Engine, audience comparisons, and other tools used to identify audience characteristics and market opportunities.

The objective of this stage is to move from an initial audience or market definition toward a better understanding of the audiences and opportunities available for activation.

Activate

Activate contains the tools used to turn refined audiences into actionable media outputs.

Depending on the audience and campaign workflow, this can include:

  • Carrier Walk activation
  • Audience extracts
  • Digital audience activation

This creates a clearer transition from audience analysis and refinement into media planning and execution.

Manage Workspace

Manage Workspace brings together the administrative and file-management functions associated with your intelligentVIEW workspace.

This includes managing:

  • Projects and folders
  • Audience and market files
  • Insights Reports
  • Other saved workspace assets

While Build, Explore & Refine, and Activate are organized around the audience workflow, Manage Workspace provides a central location for maintaining and organizing the assets created through those workflows.

A clearer workflow from audience creation to activation

The updated navigation is designed to make the purpose of each area of intelligentVIEW easier to understand.

The overall workflow can now be viewed as:

Build → Explore & Refine → Activate

with Manage Workspace supporting the organization and management of the files, reports, projects, and other assets created throughout that process.

Combined with the new Batch File Uploader, these changes make it easier to onboard data, organize recurring audience and market files, analyze opportunities, and move refined audiences toward activation.
